Test will work: Hi. Your BCP, finasteride, and spironolactone will not interfere with your 24-hour urinary cortisol test. PCOS is a "diagnosis of exclusion", meaning things like Cushing's may need to be excluded for PCOS to be a valid diagnosis. Your doctor has considered that Cushing's is possible, so has ordered the 24-hour UFC to screen for Cushing's. Good luck!

23 y.o F unable to take OCP or Aldactone for hirsutism, is Finasteride an option? And if so, should I see a endocrinologist or my PCP regarding this?
Is finasteride a good choice for PCOS, especially for severe cystic acne? I truly don't tolerate spironolactone nor the pill. Weight loss didn't help.
