Clarify: Pediacare flu does not actually treat the flu and is NOT recommended for a 1 year old. It has other ingredients besides acetaminophen that may be too large of a dose for a 13 month old. Prior to giving any medication to your child, please consult with your pediatrician. They should have an after-hours line to call.

Acetomenophen : So sorry about your little one. You may use cold and cough medicines with the flu. Please read the label as some combination medications already have acetomenoohen in them. I prefer to not use the combination drugs for this reason. Encourage her to drink anything she wants, try a humidifier by her bed and let her rest. If the fever persists or does not go down with meds see your doctor.
