Muscle Cramps: From your pattern, this is muscle cramps. As long as the pain comes and goes, and lasts only 2-3 seconds, and more importantly is fading, then it is most likely related to the extensive exercise. If the pain becomes more constant, or severe, or is accompanied by pale color changes then you should be seen by your family physician. Pale color with severe unremitting pain is an emergency

Most likely Cramps: It is very unlikely that a healthy 21 yr old would get a DVT. Further the workout best explains your calf cramps. If the pain becomes more constant, or severe, or is accompanied by pale color changes then you should be seek medical evaluation.
