Many reasons.: Isolated calf swelling may be due to many reasons. Ruling out DVT is certainly one of the first things to do but now other causes of the swelling need to be ruled out including lymphedema, orthopedic or foot problems and even medication related. Try symptomatic treatment for now with compression hose knee length and elevation when possible.
