A member asked:

Do boys still grow at 17-18 can a boy be 5'8 while his father is 5'7 and can a 6'7 father have a 5'8.5 or 5'9 son?

Yes: The father is only half the equation. In general the average of both parents height plus 2.5 inches will be the expected height of any male offspring. Two parents of equal height would produce a boy taller than either. A 6'7 father who has a short wife will produce smaller sons.
