Need exam: Difficult to say without an exam. However, the two most likely ear problems are external otitis (infection of ear canal) and otitis media (infection of the middle ear). If your ear is painful with manipulation, it's probably external otitis. Treat with 50:50 solution of vinegar and alcohol. Just squirt it in the ear, and allow it to drain naturally. Repeat 3-4 times per day.
