Hidradenitis suppurativa: You may have hidradenitis suppurativa. This is a chronic infection affecting the apocrine sweat glands. Apocrine glands are found in the armpits, breasts, and gluteal region. Each of the regions can be affected by hidradenitis. It may require chronic suppressive antibiotics. If these fail to resolve the infection, the glands may require surgical removal. Hope this helps
