Doctor thoughts: I wanted to become a doctor from childhood. When I grew up, a doctor was among the most respected of members in the community. I loved biology and wanted to help people. 36 years later, I still feel this way, but, in general, it has become harder to practice medicine each year. Thankfully, patients are living longer, but the health insurance, and medicine as a business are difficult areas.
