Improvement: Bronchitis is caused by and irritation to the bronchial tree. This can be due to chronic irritants like smoking or exposure to inhaled fumes or dust. Infections can also cause bronchitis. Either way bronchitis usually produces a irritation when breathing that usually causes a cough and productive sputum. If those symptoms are improving then your bronchitis should be better.
