Monitor: Generally, simple bronchitis is viral and does not require antibiotics. If you have developed fever, it still could be viral. Flu is possible too and you can get checked for it. If you smoke and have other conditions or your symptoms last longer than 2 weeks, bacterial bronchitis is likely in which case, antibiotics will help.
