Prilosec for GERD: Yes, twice daily is the correct frequency for treatment of disabling daily GERD.

Yes: it is often prescribed this way for severe GERD. However, I suggest you only do this under doctors recommendation. If your symptoms are that bad you need further testing to see if you have H. Pylori a bacteria that can cause ulcers and possible a scope of your stomach.
