Nasal obstruction: Thornwaldt cyst is a congenital nasopharyngeal cyst that can obstruct the nasal airway. A septoplasty and excision or marsupialization of the cyst can be performed by your ENT at the same time.

If needed, but b9: Most Thornwaldt cysts r benign (u probably had it since birth). The fluid in it is mucus which rarely "can become infected & cause halitosis or periodic discharge of foul-tasting fluid into the mouth".
