Hypoglycemia: I'm not sure without examining you and doing testing but eating sweets leads to very irregular blood sugar levels. He seemed to be describing hypoglycemia which would be the fall in your blood sugar level after the sharper raise from the sweets. I would cut out the refined sugars and use more protein in your diet.

Test blood sugar: You need to see your doctor to do blood studies. It sounds like Type 2 diabetes and your sugar intake is creating problems. But let your doctor do some tests to find out if your body isn't handling sugar intake well. If in fact it is diabetes you will need dietary counseling. Don't let this drag on. Get help now
