No: 3 month old does not need a blanket for comfort. At this age, they can be wearing long sleeve onesies or pajamas to sleep. Thicker clothing for winter time. The crib should be free of all blankets, stuffed animals, bumpers, and any toys. Another option is to use blanket as a swaddle, but not to be loose in the crib. Great time to also review safe sleep with pediatrician at next visit.
