Likely OK: The risk for a short course of Medrol worsening the gastric ulcer is not high especially when you are on Dexilant (dexlansoprazole). In medicine, everything we do is based on risk/benefit ratio and in your case the benefit outweighs the risk.

Use nasal steroid: I would advise a course of potent nasal topical steroid spray, such as Nasonex, (mometasone) Rhinocort, Flonase, etc used scheduled twice per day for a month over systemic oral steroids (even for a short oral course). The topical steroid spray will be more effective and safer for gastric ulcer disease. Also abstain completely from Afrin (oxymetazoline) while on steroid spray treatment and avoid in future.
