A member asked:

When i'm anxious my heart rate at rest is about 105, when i'm relaxed its about 65. should i be worried that my hr increases only when i'm anxious?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Brain --》Heart: This is fairly common and can be thought of as part of our fight - flight reflexes. There are nerve connections between the heart and the brain that can lead to either fast or slow heart rate. See your doctor about your anxiety. Relaxation techniques may help you to better control your heart rate.
