Skin Reaction: Skin reactions are common and usually self-limited. If you are concerned about developing a skin reaction you can safely take over-the-counter Benadryl (diphenhydramine) as directed, and in future perform a skin patch test (instructions can be found on the box of most dye products). Respiratory problems or sensation of throat swelling may suggest a more significant reaction.
