Yes and no: Sounds like an allergic reaction to something in the dye. It will go away by itself. If it is really itchy, you can take an antihistamine like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) safely. Be sure that you have washed and rinsed your scalp as thoroughly as possible to remove all traces of whatever you're allergic to.
