A member asked:

I have ms and on methadone. i have problems swallowing and some feels it like it got down wrong pipe. will it be reabsorbed i hope. didnt gag ?

No, but you probably: didn't aspirate, or you would likely be coughing like crazy. Opioids can suppress gag reflex somewhat, but aspiration of liquids or solids will not be subtle usually. Sometimes, late night aspiration does occur and results in a sore and inflamed throat. Talk to your doctor about your swallowing - speech therapists may be able to help with it.
