Quite likely: Although a garden variety vaginal yeast infection should be treated by the OTC recommended treatment, such as Monistat 1, (tioconazole) a few symptoms like itching may persist for a bit longer. If symptoms last beyond a week, you can repeat the treatment one more time. If you have had yeast infection multiple times in recent months, you should tested for resistant yeast, which would require prescription meds.
