Consider biospy: At your age (26), this would most likely be an unusual presentation of Hodgkin's and the tonsil would feel different as well as just being big. It would also keep growing rapidly. I suspect the swab will come back normal flora and you may be offered a tonsillectomy if they're big enough to interfere with breathing while you sleep or are otherwise a problem.
