A member asked:

Cah female with testosterone at 4 nmol/l (normal up to 1.5) i'm concerned i'm getting receding about hair loss. once under control will it stop?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

2 things going on?: Hi. Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) doesn't cause elevated testosterone. I would look more to an ovarian source for the elevated testo (such as PCOS). I have patients with BOTH CAH and PCOS. Your doc may want to consider why your testosterone is elevated in treated CAH - I bet it's not the CAH. Good luck!
