Loose stools: Time for stool studies if this is a prolonged problem. Please see your physician for stool culture, blood, white cells, fecal fat, ova and parasites and be checked for clostrium difficile or C. diff infection. If your stool reveals nothing, then consider a GI consult. Consider trying lactaid in case of lactose intolerance and be tested for gluten enteropathy which resolves with a gluten free diet.

GI workup: This is not an uncommon problem and does not necessarily mean there is severe disease. It may have to do with what your health has been like and what meds you are on. If one is taking high fiber this might create a bigger problem. One might need to wear depends or similar garments to avoid the clean up problem Would see a GI doc for more help.
