Functional bowel: problem can be very life altering and socially repugnant. You may have irritable bowel syndrome, diarrhea kind, or you may have residual stones in your ducts which can cause colicky pain related to food ingestion. Please get yourself to a MD to get checked out. It may take a combination of examination, blood tests and or radiology tests.

?virus: You may have a viral gastrointestinal infection if your symptoms are new, but if they have been occurring for longer periods, irritable bowel syndrome,bacterial intestinal infection,inflammatory bowel disease or sprue are possibilities. See your physician or a gastroenterologist if your symptoms persist. Until then avoid eating harsh roughage and take kaopectate (kaolin and pectin).
