A member asked:

What can cause swollen submandibular glands? hiv? just have a little night sweats (no need to change sheets)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Calculi: Swollen submaxillary glands are inflammatory in nature for the most part and usually attributed to calculi. Submax carcinoma is one of rarest of salivary gland tumor sites. One must differentiate if these are salivary glands or lymph gland involvement but lymph glands bilat would also be rare and mostly one sided in submaxillary region.
