It depends.: Thermoregulation in some children is more labile than in others and a slight fluctuation of 1-2 degrees maybe ok. However, even withim these limits, it is important to understand the reason behind a permanently high body temp. Check with a pediatrician if concerned

No: A normal school-aged child who is growing - eating - sleeping - behaving normally, and who has no symptoms... is normal. The reading on a thermometer doesn't matter. Avoid checking temperatures of normal children. However, if somebody checked a temperature and got a reading outside the normal range, he may ask the pediatrician if anything is unusual. (5% of normal people are outside normal range)
