A member asked:

I had an ultrasound at 31weeks pregnant.was diagnosed of low amniotic fluid.figures show deepest pocket is 3.4cm.is it critical?is my baby at danger?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Low amniotic level: Low amniotic fluid can indicate many problems with the pregnancy such as circulation, manufacture or fetal anomalies. It is just like running your car engine with a low oil level, nothing may be wrong immediately but eventually a problem may present. Talk to your OB MD about the sonogram results and see if they found any indications of a problem at this time.
