Probably: NOT related....HOWEVER suggest after you stop the Prednisone and wait for several weeks you have some ADRENAL HORMONE /ACTH (Pituitary) studies since DEFICIENCY of such hormones can have effect on fat distribution!

No Explanation: it is unusual for one to have rapid changes like this and never from prednisone. You likely need to see you doctor to check your thyroid as a cause of this sudden change, or get a new mirror.
