You may be: referring to the bursa (a small pouch filled with fluid and allowing a tendon to "glide" over a bone.....the bursa at the top of the hip bone is called the "Olecranon" bursa. Speak with your Primary Care Provider about this possibility since an injection of steroids may help! Hope this helps Dr Z
