RDW high: If RDW is high this means the Range of Dimension Width is high, indicating the Red cell corpuscles are not the same sizes, this could be due to the Bone Marrow produced two or more of populations of Red cells. Iron deficiency is the most common cause in young female .Fragmentation of RBC could also give this which has multiple causes ranges from simple things like vigrous exercise to more serious
