Barium study : If that was a plain X-ray fish bones may not be seen since fish bone is mainly cartilage. Therefore perhaps a barium swallow looking for a tear or CT to look for air outside the esophagus will provide more information. When all else fails a gastrointestinal physician and scope and endoscopy should be considered
