Otitis: You may have wax impaction or infection of the external ear canal or ear drum. An examination would be needed to look for these types of problems all of which can be easily treated by a physician.

If your inner ear itches and then hurts; what causes it and what should you do about it? It was itchy last year and the dr. Said to put cortisone cream on it and the itching went away, but not for long. Repeated the procedure. Helped, but not for long.
My left ear itches and burns at times. It is very uncomfortable. I have been seeing a ENT doctor for over a year. He has given me 4 different drops to put in the ear. I had a CT scan and a MRI of the neck which was negative. Nothing has worked. ???
