WeAllGetBurndSomtime: If, after cooling it with cold ice water and taking Tylenol (acetaminophen) and/or Motrin and elevating it, and finishing the broth, it still hurts like , or real large blisters form (doubtful) you may want to have it checked out. Usually these kinds of burns (from the outside of a hot cup) don't amount to much except a day or two of pain. This often happens if the cup has been super-heated in a microwave.
