Infection unlikely: Traumatic cuts in the mouth can be very bloody and uncomfortable, but rarely become infected. No yellow discharge from the site and no temperature means infection unlikely. Pain and swelling from the trauma should be gone within 7-10 days. Ibuprofen helps.

It is possible: Most mouth cuts will clear up by themselves within a week or two. You should see your GP or dentist if the cut gets worse or lasts for longer than 2 weeks.

Possibly: Have lesion examined by your Dentist. It may need just a few more days healing time, or a topical analgesic for comfort, or an antibiotic if infected.
