A member asked:

Why might someone have high cortisol at 22 years old?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cortisol: A high cortisol at age 22 does occur and you need to find out whether it is coming from your pituitary gland or your adrenal gland. The diagnosis is straightforward after medical history, physical exam, and lab tests. A pituitary or adrenal lesion can each be controlled but it is not lilely to involve both.
