Within a year.: Firstly, Humatrope (human growth hormone) (generic, somatropin), or gh (growth hormone) should only be used for truly indicated diagnoses: pediatric pts with short stature and gh deficiency, certain genetic or endocrine diseases, adults with childhood onset gh deficiency or an adult form. It is an injectable and it's use should be monitored by experienced doc. If no increased height within a year, needs reevaluation.

For what purpose?: Hgh, which is what Nutropin (human growth hormone) is, immediately raises igf-1 levels, which is synthesized primarily in the liver. For short statured children, you will see growth in height within a month. For adults legitamely using it, beneifts accrue within months, ie. Increased bone density, thicker skin, etc. I do not know how quickly .It works when taken for athletic or anti-aging purposes. No studies.

No: Once your growth centers are fused( closed) growth hormone cannot make you grow. When you have growth hormone deficiency giving you growth hormone will get you to your genetic expections for growth but not taller than what you were meat to be.
