A member asked:

Why is qrs tall and narrow while p is wide and short on an ecg?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Morphology: The P wave is formed by electrical activity in the atria which is low ampltude and propagates slowly. This makes it low and wide. The QRS is formed in the ventricles which have more muscle so more amplitude of electrical force and the propagation is normally very fast so narrow in time width.
