A member asked:

Why doesn't my son's cough go away?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chronic cough: This needs to be addressed with your Pediatrician as there can be several causes - asthma, acid reflux, post nasal drip, exposure to toxins like smoking to name a few. Until you can get in to see your MD use a cool mist humidifier at night, warm water/honey to soothe and observe to see if you can identify any worsening triggers. http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/124/Supplement_2/S142.1.full
