Displaced disk: The disk in the jaw joint (TMJ) is displaced. This can result in clicking and/or popping. In some cases it progressed to jaw pain, limited opening, jaw locking and headaches. Clicking alone does not require treatment. If you clench and or grind your teeth, this can make things worse. If you need advice, or your condition progresses, see a TMJ specialist.
