Displaced/dislocated: Your jaw is either displaced (sprained) or probably dislocated. The clicking is when the cartilage slips into and out of place. If it click and you move your jaw forward and it no longer click you can treat this conservatively. Check with your dentist and get help before it won't slip back into place. Then it is harder to treat.
