A member asked:

Why do some pregnant women not get a prominent baby bump?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Body habitus...: There are a lot of reasons. The baby bump forms when there is not enough room in the abdomen for the pregnant uterus without expanding the belly. Some women are taller or less petite and have more space. Others have smaller babies. The combination of a small baby and a stoutly built women results in a small baby bump. The bump forms faster if you've been pregnant before. Best wishes!
