A member asked:

Why do i have more flatulence at age 45 than i did when i was 30?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good question but...: feeling full of "gas" may reflect malabsorption of food (like gluten, lactose), intake of poorly digested food, or choosing foods known to promote gas (beans, fizzy drinks), a stomach emptying too slowly, bacterial overgrowth syndrome, delayed intestinal function, partial obstruction from any cause, infection, rectum problems, and pathology outside the gut. Time for evaluation?
