Why are my eyes red? i have stringy white stuff in them, should i try to take it out?

Eyes are dry....: use lubricating eye drops at least four times a day or more as needed until symptoms better the use as needed. Try any of the over the counter drops: systane , refresh, Genteal or theratears.
