Age: Partially this is because you are 47 years old. Fertility drops over time. You also are at increased risk of bearing a child with chromosomal disorders such as Downs Syndrome, Trisomy 18 and others. Even a late period at this age could be a baby that was not meant to be. Gosh, I hate to be such a buzz kill, but I hope this is helpful.
