Possible: Your chances for pregnancy are highest when intercourse happens the day prior to ovulation, as well as day of ovulation. Be patient and check your pregnancy test at the time of expected menses if cycle is delayed. Good luck!

Trust the test : Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. The best time is when you miss your period. You're 20 years old. Why such a rush?

Yes: Sperm are viable in a female's reproductive system for up to 5 days, so sex up to that long before ovulation can still result in pregnancy.

Sure you can: That's usually how it happens. On the day of ovulation or the 2 days after, sperm have the opportunity to meet up with the egg. Of course, that meeting can't happen before ovulation. Since sperm can live for several days, they can just hang around inside the fallopian tubes waiting for ovulation to happen.

Yes, but: If you are certain that you know when you ovulated then the chance of pregnancy from sex 5d earlier is low but not 0%. The day of ovulation is difficult to know for sure even with opk. Further, sperm can live in the female tubes for many days though usually 2-3 days. You need contraception unless becoming pg is not a major issue. Best wishes.

You could be.: It will take at least 9 days for a pregnancy test to turn positive. When timing intercourse appropriately as it appears you have, there is about a 15-20% chance of pregnancy occuring. If your test is not + a week after a missed period then you probably are not pregnant. If you are not trying to become pregnant, then you need reliable contraception.
