Multiple factors: There are several forms of brain cancer and multiple risks have been associated including 1st and second hand smoke, agricultural and industrial chemicals, genetics, certain medications etc. in addition to a neurological exam, a brain CT is usually the first step in identifying an abnormality. A Brain MRI provides more robust evaluation when findings are highly suspicious.
