Benign: Most likely it is a benign cyst that does not communicate with the normal brain fluid circulation. A shunt can be placed to drain the fluid into the abdomen where it can be safely absorbed and prevent the cyst from enlarging and affecting normal brain function. Surgery is safe and usually in hospital overnite then home.
