Therapy: Therapy is the mainstay in regaining functionality after a stroke. Persistence and stubborness will help in attitude. Trying to use the other hand will help but continued practice is a good idea.

Getting worse?: Your question is ambiguous. Do you mean the stroke caused trouble writing initially or do mean difficulty writing developed after the stroke. Occupational therapists can help with difficulty writing but if handwriting is deteriorating, something else is going on, most likely stroke progression or joint contractures.
