A member asked:

There's a white patch on my 3-month-old's upper thigh/hip area. what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pigmentation changes: Various conditions can cause changes in pigmentation. This could be a birthmark that is more prominent as the rest of the skin darkens. It could be a mild fungus called Tinea Versicolor. It could be reduction of pigmentation due to friction from the diaper. Best to have your Pediatrician look at it to help determine the cause. Best of luck!
