Yes: The vaccines are one of the most important health advances in the 20th century and research is ongoing.There are always skeptics, and misinformation circulated by the vaccine haters have lead to substantial increases in whooping cough deaths in the US. At 2500 cases and no deaths in the 90's, there were 40000 cases and 30 deaths last yr.
